Transparency & Logic

Logic Over Politics

Champion a city government that leads with logic, not politics.  Prioritize transparency in decision-making by requiring clear,  public-facing justifications for major policy choices, budgeting  decisions, and development approvals. Further transparency and  public input via a system in which citizens are polled on city  decisions where results are made public and carry weight in the  decision-making process. Use data and measurable outcomes to  evaluate programs, spending, and community impact—so  residents can see not just what decisions are made, but why.  Expand access to public records, support open data initiatives,  and require regular performance reviews of city departments and  funded projects.

  • Clear Decisions, Open Books

We will mandate clear, public-facing justifications for all major policy choices, budgeting decisions, and development approvals. This means requiring city departments to provide easily understandable rationales and supporting data before decisions are finalized. Furthermore, we will expand access to public records and actively support open data initiatives, making government information readily available and searchable for every Bozeman resident.

  • Measurable Outcomes, Real Accountability

My administration will champion the use of data and measurable outcomes to rigorously evaluate city programs, spending, and their actual impact on our community. This will include implementing regular, public performance reviews of all city departments and funded projects. Residents deserve to see not just what decisions are made, but the tangible results and efficiency of their city government, ensuring responsible use of resources.

  • Your Voice, Directly Heard

To truly empower residents, I will advocate for a system that significantly enhances public input. This includes exploring and implementing methods for citizens to be polled on critical city decisions, with the results made public and carrying significant weight in the final decision-making process. This direct feedback mechanism will ensure that the collective voice of Bozeman's citizens is not just heard, but actively shapes the future of our city.

"Transparency is not just about seeing; it's about understanding, participating, and building a stronger Bozeman community together."
